the memories and honor the legacy
of the 129 gallant men
lost aboard USS Thresher
on April 10, 1963
Thresher Base holds six regular meetings per year on the third Saturday of the months of January, March, May, July. September & November. Additionally, Thresher Base hosts a Memorial Day service at Albacore Park as well as the Annual USS Thresher Memorial Service, held on the Saturday closest to April 10.

National Wreaths Across America Ceremony @ Albacore Park
The National Wreath Across America Ceremony will be held @ Albacore Park Memorial Garden starting @ 1000 coincident with wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as over 1,200 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea, and abroad. Join with your Thresher Base shipmates to take part in this meaningful event. The USS Albacore Museum & their Memorial Garden is located at 600 Market Street, Portsmouth, NH.

pursuit of their duties while serving their country.
That their dedication, deeds and supreme sacrifice be a
constant source of motivation toward greater accomplishments.
